2-Piece Fabric Construction

The final wrap of the awning in the rolled up position (the Weatherguard) must be strong enough to protect the canopy from the harsh effects of the sun, tree limb scuffs and scrapes, and constant exposure to the elements. That's why Carefree canopies feature two piece construction with the most durable vinyl specs in the industry. No other awning manufacturer provides this measure of quality and rugged dependability.
The Weatherguard is made of an exceptionally durable 18 ounce vinyl (compared to the 10-14 oz. material on competing brands). The canopy portion is a 14 ounce vinyl. Perhaps the most remarkable feature of Carefree Awning Vinyl Weatherguard is its super tough 1000 denier inner layer reinforcement scrim. Virtually impossible to rip or tear.
